Travel: Korean Store in Ortigas, Found!

I have been searching the net for a Korean Store near our house or in some place that I am familiar of. But, I have no luck. All the places mentioned in forums, blogs & other sites where they found Korean stores are either far from my place or unfamiliar to me.
I was looking for a Korean Store because that’s the only place I know where I can find the most important ingredient for my planned homemade Kimchi – the hot pepper flakes. I attempted to use chili powder but in one website I checked for a Kimchi recipe, she mentioned that chili powder is not a good substitute for hot pepper flakes.
Since it was hard for me to find a Korean store, I gave up looking. But when I was walking along a street at the back of Robinson’s Galleria going to First Vita Plus office (SunTree Tower), I passed by this store with symbols that look like Korean characters (similar to characters in Koreanovelas I watch. haha). Curious enough, I entered the store and to my surprise, I accidentally found a Korean Store! I am so happy. So for those who are looking for  a Korean store in Ortigas area. Here’s how you can get there:
1.       At the back of Robinson’s Galleria, go to Garnet Rd. which is in between Burgundy Empire Tower and City & Land Mega Plaza.
2.       Walk straight ahead until you reach Ruby Rd. You will find a store named “Ha-Neul Mart” located at the Grand Emerald Tower. That’s the Korean store I am talking about. Here are some of the pictures I have taken:

And of course, before going out of the store, I tried this famous Korean Ice Bar – MELONA! I tried the melon flavor and it really tastes good! You can’t deny it’s melon with its smell and taste.

I’ll try out their other products sometime. If you have any suggestions of what to try, please feel free to share your comments below. Also, if you know a Korean Store near Puregold – Luzon Avenue. Please put it in the comment box below. Thanks in advance!

P.S. Since I am able to buy all the ingredients I need for my homemade Kimchi, I will post how I made it. Stay tuned! :)
